Note: Doshii recently changed the way we connect your Deputy account. If you requested your Deputy connection prior to 05/04/2023 please refer to this Help article.
It's easy to get your venue connected with Deputy using Doshii!
There are a number of simple steps - this guide will help you complete these steps, and ensure your Deputy connection is up and running as quickly as possible. If you need help at any point please email Doshii Support (support@doshii.com) and we'll be glad to help you.
Firstly, if you don't already have a Doshii account, head over to https://doshii.com and click the Get Connected button to create an account. You will be asked for information about your venue and POS provider and then you can request a connection to Deputy.
If you are an existing Doshii customer, you just need to log in to your account here and request a connection to Deputy.
Requesting a Connection to Deputy
Once you have created your Doshii account, or logged into your Doshii account, you will need to navigate to our App Marketplace, find Deputy and click Connect Deputy.
You will be asked to Log in to Deputy. Use your Deputy credentials.
You will then be prompted to allow Doshii to connect with your Deputy account. It will specify which Deputy account your are providing permission for. Click Authorize.
Next, you will be asked to specify the default Deputy location that you want your sales data to sync to. This is a required step. You can only specify one location at this stage, so choose the location that is most used. Click Confirm venue connection.
That's it! You're done. Once your POS connection is active, your Deputy connection will come online. The Doshii Customer Success team will reach out to you to let you know it's active.
Note: There are additional mapping capabilities outlined later in this article - if you would like this to be configured, please reach out to support@doshii.io with your requirements and we will discuss what is possible and configure the additional mapping for you.
Where can I see my sales data in Deputy?
Once your POS connection is completed and your Deputy connection is active, you will be able to see your sales data in the Insights section of your Deputy account.
To check if your integration with Deputy is receiving sales data correctly, click on:
- Schedule
- Insights
Once on your Insights page, click on:
- Metrics
- Raw data viewer
Once you are in the Raw Data Viewer you can select the date to see all the sales records that have been sent to your Deputy account via the integration.
What additional Mapping is available with the Doshii-Deputy integration?
When you sign up, you will select a default location within your Deputy account that all of your sales records will sync to. If you want to specify more than one location, you should select the default location at sign up and reach out to Doshii Customer Success at support@doshii.io for additional configuration.
The Doshii-Deputy integration is quite powerful and has several different ways that we can map your sales records to your Deputy account.
Some examples are:
- Map sales data from different Doshii locations to multiple Deputy locations in your Deputy account.
- Map terminals to Deputy Area IDs - you can specify that orders received on a particular terminal be synced to specific areas in your Deputy account. This functionality is only available for POS that submit terminal information in orders to Doshii - contact us for more information.
- Map POS Areas to Deputy Area IDs - you can specify that orders received in a particular area (eg Restaurant) be synced to specific areas in your Deputy account. This functionality is only available for POS that submit area information in orders to Doshii - contact us for more information.
What can't we map?
- We cannot map food and beverage within the same order to different Deputy locations.
