Why can’t I link options to my items?

Doshii receives your menu from Ordermate. This menu includes items, option groups and variants:

• An item is a stand alone item. An item is most often sold on its own (e.g., Hamburger).
• An option group is a grouping of variants that can be applied to an item (e.g., Choose your size, or Add a side). An option group cannot be sold on its own, as it's just a container for variants.
• A variant is contained within an option group (e.g., Small, Medium, Large, or Chips, Salad, Vegetables). A variant cannot be sold as a standalone item.

When creating an online menu, a certain menu structure must be maintained.

Refer to this Ordermate help guide for more information about option groups. 

You cannot create items and options in Doshii; they must be created in your Ordermate POS. Any changes you make to your menu in your Ordermate POS should automatically sync to Doshii.  

If you have created items in your POS and you cannot see them in Doshii, please email Doshii Customer Success and we can provide instructions on how to sync your Ordermate POS menu with Doshii.
