Lightspeed does not support the concept of 'global options'. Global Options means that any option set created in your Lightspeed POS can be used with any item. Lightspeed does not allow this behaviour with orders and requires that an option set be linked to each product in your Lightspeed POS. If Lightspeed receives an order that contains an option set that is not linked in Lightspeed POS, it will reject the order.
Global options allow a great deal of freedom when creating an integrated App menu. However, Lightspeed's strict validation ensures that customers cannot order options that you have not specifically linked in your Lightspeed POS. This avoids an online app menu where a can of soft drink can be ordered with a preparation type of 'rare'.
There are also some constraints in how your Lightspeed menu is synced to Doshii.
Please be aware if you have Product Variants in your Lightspeed POS menu, these will be sent to Doshii as individual items.
Option sets and Modifiers will be synced to Doshii as option groups. Lightspeed does not recommend using Modifiers in online menus.
If you have modifiers in your Lightspeed POS and want to connect an online ordering App, we recommend you re-create these as Options Sets in your Lightspeed POS. You can learn more about how to do this here.
You cannot create POS items and options in Doshii; they must be created in your Lightspeed POS. Any changes you make to your menu in your Lightspeed POS will automatically sync to Doshii.
